On 21–22 November 2024, the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Clinical Skills Training Center, organized a workshop entitled “Clinical Application in Simulation Education.”
Objectives
To enhance teaching and learning management through simulation-based scenarios for medical lecturers and physicians in network hospitals.
Acute and Critical Care Simulation Workshop
On 17 May 2025, the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, together with the Postgraduate Education Section and the Clinical Skills Training Center, organized an acute and critical care simulation workshop.
Objectives
To enhance participants’ understanding of approaches to patient care in emergency and critical conditions across various systems, and to develop problem-solving skills through simulation processes and constructive feedback. The participants included intern doctors and resident doctors from various specialties.
ICU Point-of-Care Ultrasound Workshop 2025

On 8 June 2025, the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Clinical Skills Training Center and the Postgraduate Education Unit, organized the 1st ICU Point-of-Care Ultrasound Workshop 2025 for Academic Year 2025.
Objectives
To enhance understanding of the use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and develop skills in using ultrasound for critical care assessment.

Intern doctors and resident doctors from all specialties.
Workshop on Basic Standardized Patient Quality Development, 2nd Edition
On 18–20 June 2025, the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, together with the Clinical Skills Training Center, organized a workshop on basic standardized patient skills development.
Objectives
To develop professional standardized patient skills.
Target group
New standardized patients and existing standardized patients who have not yet received training.
Standardized Patient Recruitment
Qualifications for Standardized Patient Applicants
- Male or female, aged 16–65 years (adult roles)
- Boys or girls, aged 12–15 years (child roles)
- Able to read and speak Thai clearly
- Must be of Thai nationality
- No hearing problems and able to communicate and answer questions
- In good health and able to walk and move around
- Available for an interview as part of the selection process
- Available to work during and outside official hours, with prior notice
- Confident and expressive
Roles / Responsibilities / Agreement of Standardized Patients

- This is a service agreement, meaning compensation or payment will be provided.
- The role is performed according to the assigned scenario for each task or session.
- Rehearsal or training for each role is required before the actual performance.
- During the role-play, the patient may be asked questions about both predetermined and unplanned topics.
- The standardized patient may need to provide a medical history or undergo a simulated physical examination as a real patient would.
- In teaching and examination activities, the role may need to be performed for a large number of students.
- Each performance usually takes about 1–3 hours, depending on the case and compensation.
- For all roles assigned on the actual performance day, the flat rate is 500 THB per 3 hours (1 shift).
- Transportation allowance on the actual performance day is a flat rate of 200 THB per visit.
- Rehearsal/training for the standardized patient role before the actual performance is paid at 100 THB per hour.

- This is a service agreement, meaning compensation or payment will be provided.
- The role is performed according to the assigned scenario for each task or session.
- Rehearsal or training for each role is required before the actual performance.
- During the role-play, the patient may be asked questions about both predetermined and unplanned topics.
- The standardized patient may need to provide a medical history or undergo a simulated physical examination as a real patient would.
- In teaching and examination activities, the role may need to be performed for a large number of students.
- Each performance usually takes about 1–3 hours, depending on the case and compensation.
- For all roles assigned on the actual performance day, the flat rate is 500 THB per 3 hours (1 shift).
- Transportation allowance on the actual performance day is a flat rate of 200 THB per visit.
- Rehearsal/training for the standardized patient role before the actual performance is paid at 100 THB per hour.
